Primary Supply Teachers
Enfield operates a supply pool open to teachers who have successfully passed their
induction period and have a further year's experience in primary teaching. It is
used by over 65% of our primary schools, enabling them to cover vacancies in at
least 95% of cases.
We are always looking to take on more staff, especially teachers open to teaching
Year 6. We offer National Pay Rates and never take a cut from teachers' salaries.
The scheme may be of particular interest to teachers whose contracts are coming
to an end, or who are currently teaching part-time and would like some additional
hours.
The Supply desk is open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these
hours we operate a voicemail system, which we check daily. If you would like to

Primary Supply Support Staff
After a successful trial of a similar pool scheme for supplying primary school support
staff, we are in the process of recruiting more support staff to join the pool on
an as-and-when required basis.
If you are interested in working as a casual relief teaching assistant or nursery
nurse, please contact us for more details.
The rates of pay are:
Teaching Assistant
£9.47 per hour (paid on a Scale 2 pay grade).
Nursery Nurse
£10.87 per hour (paid on a Scale 4 pay grade).
You will be expected to have either a Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB), a BTEC
National in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing) qualification or an NVQ Level III
Standard in Childcare and Education.
